Day Trips

Allows individuals and friends to go to various events and destinations like local markets, mill shops and the countryside or seaside. The list of forthcoming trips can be found below. Many people who use this service find that they make lasting friendships and look forwards to their next trip out.

Little Green Bus arranges its trips six months in advance and they are extremely popular and are offered on a first come first served basis, so please book in plenty of time. You must already be a member to book. We will provide you with a list of the trips that you have successfully booked together with your pick-up times.

Should events beyond our control, such as adverse weather, roadworks or road traffic incidents prevent us from visiting the expected venue, an alternative venue will usually be provided.

Please let us know when you book whether you will be bringing a wheelchair, trolley, walking frame or other bulky item. Remember that the bus has limited space for shopping – so if you are planning on bringing back a sofa or a gazebo, it won’t work!

This is also a door-to-door service and is available to all of our members so, please be patient as it may take us a little time for us to collect all of the passengers. We would also ask that passengers are considerate of the fact that not everybody on the bus will have full mobility and may therefore need extra time and support from the driver to get on and off the bus.

The following trips will run from Wednesday 2nd October 2024 to Wednesday 26th March 2025 inclusive. Where possible, three buses will be allocated per trip. All trips cost £12 per person and do not include the cost of any meals. All trips are set to depart from their destination at 2.15 p.m. (Barn at Scorton and Country Harvest, Ingleton will depart earlier due to Country Run)

HOW TO REQUEST THIS SERVICE

Seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Passenger can request as many trips as they want and can book on behalf of a friend if they are in agreement.
