Dial a Ride

Dial-a-Ride provides a door-to-door, wheelchair accessible, minibus service for people who are unable to use, or do not have any regular bus services. Our buses follow loosely set routes and times and can be quite flexible to respond to individual as well as repeat requests. Many people use the service for shopping but other requests include healthcare and social visits. It is a friendly and caring bus service and many people enjoy the regular social contact with fellow passengers.

You can find the areas that we cover and on which days in the table below. Bookings are taken with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice by telephone. Please call 01200 444484. The more notice you can give us, the better.

Fares are kept as low as possible and we will always try to fill the bus so, you may be on board for a while before getting to your destination depending on traffic and the needs of other passengers.

You will pay your fare to the driver when you get on the bus and change is normally available. We are not able to access the concessionary fare scheme so, unfortunately your Now Card (bus pass) is not valid on Community Transport.

If you are going shopping at your local supermarket, we aim to give you around one hour before taking you home again.

Our drivers will help you with your shopping trolley and your bags should you need additional support.
